SAM Unlock Overview
Most of you must have heard of SAM method by Loktar Sun. It was the only solution which worked for most people and they got their iPhone unlocked on any BB. Unfortunately, this solution used a bug in Apple servers. MuscleNerd and many hackers warned us that this method is not long term and soon this exploit will be fixed by Apple. Gevey and R-SIM IV
Expectations were great from both Gevey SIM and R-SIM IV but quite sadly both cheated their users and used SAM exploit in their chips. Applenberry and EachSupplier didn’t tell us that they’re using it in their SIM cards. When Apple fixed issue in their servers, Gevey told its users that they were using SAM method to unlock baseband 4.11.08 and 4.12.01. People were furious about it and at the end Applenberry apologized to its users and vowed that this wouldn’t happen in future.
What to Expect in Future?
Although, there’s no latest update on whether if some hacker or renowned company is working on BB 4.11.08 and iOS 5.1.1 BB 4.12.01 or not but we still believe that there might be some hacker who would be aware of the situation and he might try to bypass Apple security. Before, many people didn’t know about Loktar Sun but from nowhere, he came up with brilliant solution. Same thing can happen again and people can get their iPhone 4 unlocked.
We’ll update you as soon as we’ll get some news regarding these basebands.

Bong? Filipino d ba? Ganyan din naging case ko. Two weeks ago and last saturday my iphone was unlock. You have to call the At&t (use Skype). Tawagan mo sabihin mo out of contract na and inactive na with at&t. In my case it takes 6 times to call them. Depende din talaga sa rep.

I am already in the verge of paying 5500 to the technicians as they were telling me that it will take time for the unlocking software for baseband 4.12 to be available.
Finally, after reading this topic and tried calling ATT, on my 3rd attempt, the Rep was kinda helpful enough. He even reiterated that processing the said request will take 7 to 10 days but since the traffic of this concern is kinda slow, i might have the email within 24 hours .

GUYS!!!! c’mon you don’t have to pay to ANYONE, you can call at&t, and you can call them via SKYPE (For international users dial 1-800-335-4685 ). tell them that your iphone is no longer with at&t (must not be reported lost or stolen) and you want to unlock your device (prepare your IMEI number for their reference) OKAY!!!

Not true. AT&T will only deal with their own customers. You have to be an AT&T customer and provide billing details to prove this. I have tried.
